Letters From Satisfied Owners

"Red, thanks for the dog...she is great! From the time she was 9 weeks old, she started on mice and possums. Now, at a year and ahalf, she took on a ground hog that snuck in behind this old work bench, in my old shop that's 20' long. She had one hell of a battle going on because there is only one way out. She came out and tried to find another route. I could have shot it then, but I would have had to move the bench to get it out. I told "Maggot", that's what I call her...my faimly calls her "Maggie." Anyway, I told her to bring it and she ran in and they locked-up together. She brought it out and that's when I couldn't believe how big this ground hog was. The next battle was to get it from her. She is nothing, but fun. We've had labs, before, but I've never seen anything swim like this dog. She never seems to run out of steam. The nose on this dog is amazeing. We have a chuck ball we throw for her. You can wing a ball 100 yards and she will bring it back, everytime. Red, she is everything you said she would be. I don't know if you remeber, but Greg and I came down from Iowa on April 1st to pick up two dogs. They're doing great! Earl is Gregs dog. They live south of us and have more adventure than we do!"

"I'm an old fishing buddy of Red's. I have emphysema and I need an oxygen bottle. I was recently out fishing, on the Jim Ned River, along with my 4-month-old Texas Terrier pup. Before too long, nature called and I got ready to head down to the brush, which was nearly 100 yards away. Just as I got into the brush and got my overalls down, a mean old wild sow with pigs jumps out of the brush. I took off as fast as I could. Now I knew I wasn't making good time, running away with my drawers down, but I felt like I was close to settin' a record! That sow was close behind and I could feel her blowin' snot on me. Just then that pup latched on to her ear and round and round they went. It gave me enough time to get back to the van, call off the dog and head home for some cleaner overalls and a few more snorts off that oxygen bottle!"

"I just Jeep around in those thick cedars 'til I find hog sign and then turn my Texas Terriers loose! They'll find hogs and the fight'll let me know where they're baying hog."

"We had just brought our Texas Terrier home, not more than seven or eight weeks old, when our other terriers caught a 'coon in the barn. Danged if that little pup didn't tie right in and latch on! No bigger'n a minute and already gritty!"

"My Texas Terrier runs and trees with my hounds and generally is the "throat dog" when we jump a 'coon out! I'll want another one, later."

"This is the best dog I have ever had! I took him hunting with me every time I went, last year. Even as a pup, he was quiet when hunting. I bow hunt with my friends in the Childress area. On every kill, we took him so he could learn what we were doing and what he was to do. I cant wait to see how he does this year with some age on him.

I know i will be happy with him. Also, he is the BEST pet! My grandson, age 5, pulls his ears and tail and plays very rough with him, but the dog is very careful and gentle with him. Can't beat a dog like that.

Do you have a female that we could buy that would be alright to breed with him? My son wants one! He says he prefers a male but I thought if we had a female we could have more than two dogs and who knows...someday you might quit raising them and then I wouldn't be able to get another one (just being honest). So with a female we could keep the bloodline going. If something happens to my dog I'm going to want another just like him.

I tell my kids he is my favorite son ha! ha! They are jealous, I can tell. But he is more than just a dog, he is my huntin' buddy. Please let me know about the female and thank you for what you have done with this bloodline."
